Cake Wrap Size for a 7 Inch Cake
Cut the wrap 600 mm (23.6 in) long and 102 mm (4 in) tall for a 7 inch round tin (pan) under 5 mm of icing or frosting: 590 mm round the cake plus a 10 mm overlap at the back. On A4 icing sheets that prints as 4 strips on 2 A4 sheets.
Cut your wrap600 mm · 23.6 in
7 in across, 4 in tall, 5 mm of icing, 10 mm overlap.
How it prints on A4
4 strips on 2 A4 sheets, numbered in the order they go round the cake. Sheets with a peel tab take the same number, with the strips kept clear of it. Print at actual size, never “fit to page”.

Measuring with a tape instead
Once the cake is iced, a soft tape measure round the middle is the most accurate: it is the length the wrap must be. Cut the wrap to that, plus 10 mm to overlap at the back. If your tape reads well over 590 mm, your icing is thicker than 5 mm; go by the tape.
Design it at this size
The cake wrap maker opens at exactly these sizes: drop in photos or a pattern, spin the cake in 3D, and print it split onto your sheets with cut lines and labels. Open a 7 inch cake wrap.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long should a cake wrap be for a 7 inch cake?
600 mm (23.6 in) under 5 mm of icing: 590 mm round the cake, plus 10 mm to overlap at the back. Measured with a tape round the iced cake instead, cut it to your measurement plus 10 mm.
Why not just 7 × 3.14?
That is the bare tin: 559 mm. The icing makes the cake bigger, so a wrap cut to the tin comes up about 31 mm short at the back.
How many icing sheets for a 7 inch cake wrap?
At 4 inches tall, 4 strips on 2 A4 sheets, or 4 strips on 2 US Letter sheets. The strips overlap where they join, so pipe a line or a border over each join.
