Sized to the iced cake
Give the tin and your icing, or run a tape round the finished cake. The wrap is cut to meet exactly at the back, with an overlap to hide the join.
Photos, patterns or a whole scene that goes all the way round the side of your cake. Measure once, check it in 3D, and print it split onto your icing sheets, ready to cut and wrap.

Drop in a batch of photos and each fills the next frame. Or repeat a pattern that meets itself at the back, or one picture all the way round.
Spin and zoom a model of your cake to see the design all the way round, with any bare patches hatched, before you print a sheet.
Printed on A4 or US Letter icing sheets, or your own size, clear of the peel tab, with cut lines, numbered pieces and a line to check the scale.

An 8 inch round tin under 5 mm of icing needs a wrap 680 mm (26.8 in) long, including the overlap. At 4 inches tall that prints as 4 strips on 2 A4 sheets. Every size is worked out the same way in the free cake wrap size calculator.
Set up the cake, drop in your photos and see it in 3D in a few minutes. The first 3 days of membership are free.
A strip of printed icing sheet (or wafer paper) that goes round the side of a cake, the way an edible topper goes on top. It can be photos, a repeating pattern or one scene, and is usually made from several strips joined at the back or under piping.
Measure round the iced cake with a tape, or give the tin size and how thick the icing is: 5 mm of icing adds about 31 mm round the cake. Our free cake wrap size calculator gives the length, height and sheets without an account.
Any edible printer and icing sheets. A4 and US Letter are built in with Canon PIXMA TS705 margins, the edible printer we test on; for any other sheet you measure it once and set it up as a custom sheet. Strips are kept clear of a plastic peel tab if your sheets have one.
Yes. One design holds up to 5 tiers, each with its own size, and their strips share sheets so nothing is wasted.
Print at actual size (100%), never “fit to page”. Every sheet has a 50 mm line to measure, and you can print a test on plain paper first to wrap round the cake.
Only pictures you have the right to use: your own photos, your own designs, or artwork you are licensed to print. Characters and famous faces belong to someone else, especially on cakes you sell.
The size calculator is free. Designing and printing cake wraps is part of a CakeyTops membership: the first 3 days are free, then £4.99 a month.
