Why this design works
This is the unicorn cake face, flattened into a print: a gold horn, two ears, a crown of roses and closed eyes with long lashes. Those four things are what make a disc read as a unicorn, so they are drawn big and everything else is kept small. The mane is piped rosettes down one side only, the way it is on a real unicorn cake, which leaves the centre free for the name.
What to put in the centre
The blank centre is the point of the design. These are three that work, and why:

- Just the name, where the forehead would be. It reads best of all.
- “Stay magical”
- Two short words fit between the horn and the lashes.

- Name the age in a phrase instead of on a second line.

What do I print it on?
Cardstock at 250–300gsm for a paper topper on a stick, or an edible icing sheet if it will sit directly on buttercream and be eaten. Edible printing needs a printer dedicated to edible ink — you cannot use one that has had regular ink through it. Print at 100% or "actual size", never "fit to page", which silently shrinks the topper.
Anything to watch when printing this design?
Pinks and lilacs shift more than any other colours between screen and edible print. Print one disc first, then tint the buttercream to match the printed rosettes, not the screen.
